Do the tours operate in bad weather?
How many people on each tour?
Porto does experience more rainfall than many other popular European destinations, particularly from late autumn through winter and into early spring. However, rain often comes in periods rather than lasting all day. The city's changing weather is part of its Atlantic character—and it can create some of the most beautiful light for photography.
Our Porto walking tours and experiences generally operate in light rain and changing weather conditions. We recommend coming prepared with suitable clothing and footwear. If severe weather creates unsafe conditions or significantly affects an experience, we will contact you directly and discuss the available options.

How do I book an experience?
You can book your experience directly through our website or by sending us an email at hello@anotherporto.pt.
Can I change or cancel a booking?
We offer a full refund for cancellations made up to one week before your Another Porto tour. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the experience are eligible for a partial refund, and no refunds are available after this period. If you book within 48 hours of the experience, the booking is considered final and non-refundable, although we will always do our best to accommodate changes or rescheduling where possible, subject to availability.

How far in advance should we book?
We recommend booking your Porto tours and experiences as early as possible, especially during spring, summer, weekends, and holiday periods, when demand for the best things to do in Porto is high. Our small-group experiences have limited availability to ensure quality. Private Porto tours should ideally be booked at least one to two weeks in advance.

Once your booking is confirmed, you'll receive a confirmation email with all essential details for your Porto walking tour, including your meeting point, start time, practical information, and recommendations to help you prepare for your Porto experience.
Each Porto walking tour or experience begins at a carefully selected meeting point in Porto city centre or Vila Nova de Gaia. Your exact location and directions will always be included in your confirmation email for easy access.
Your local Porto guide will be waiting at the meeting point a few minutes before your experience begins. We also provide contact details in case you need assistance on the day of your Porto tour or experience.
If you're running late for your Porto tour or experience, please contact us as soon as possible. While we will always try to help, we may not be able to delay the tour or guarantee late joining once the experience has started.
Most Porto walking tours and experiences range from around 2 to 5 kilometres at a relaxed pace. Most are easy and suitable for all fitness levels, and the exact distance for each experience is clearly listed in the tour information. All include regular stops for coffee, wine, food, conversation, and sightseeing in Porto’s historic neighbourhoods.
Porto is known for its beautiful hills, viewpoints, and cobbled streets. Our Porto walking tours are carefully designed to balance the city’s natural terrain with a comfortable pace, including regular breaks to rest and enjoy the views.
We intentionally keep our Porto walking tours and experiences to small groups, usually no more than six guests. This allows us to move through the city naturally, have meaningful conversations, and spend time in the independent cafés, wine bars, workshops, and neighbourhoods that make Porto special.
Some Porto experiences and walking tours may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility due to historic streets, stairs, and uneven surfaces. Please contact us before booking so we can recommend the most suitable Porto experience for you.
Comfortable walking shoes are essential for all Porto walking tours and experiences. We also recommend dressing according to the weather and bringing a light jacket during cooler evenings in Porto.
Yes. We can usually accommodate vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and other dietary requirements on our Porto food and wine experiences, as long as we are informed in advance. Please let us know when booking.
Absolutely!We specialise in creating bespoke Porto tours and experiences based on your interests — whether that’s speciality coffee, natural wine, food culture, architecture, photography, or local artisans in Porto.
However, we are unable to customise the existing experiences lesser than for a group of 6.
In such an event, we will happily arrange transportation to the next stop. But It would always be better to inform us in advance, to make suitable preparations.
